Happy birthday Kagamine Rin and Len! Our favorite twin is having their birthday today! It’s an important date for me, since without them, I wouldn’t know about VOCALOID now. I’m pretty sure that when you think of the best song for Kagamine Rin and Len, it’d be Kokoro. Recently, iroha’s song “Meltdown” came out and it was pretty popular too! As it became close to 27 December, many new songs for them came out. Adolesence is one of them which I love. It’s like a Kagamine Rin and Len version of the popular Cendrillion. Anyways, for more information on her birthday and more news on Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- and VOCALOID CV03, read on!
First of all, I’d like to say sorry for all of you Vocaloidism blog readers, for my inactiveness in the last few weeks. I was pretty busy with real-life stuff. Merry Christmas everyone! Secondly, today is Kagamine Rin and Len’s birthday! Happy birthday! They’re the most important VOCALOID for me since, well, without them I wouldn’t even know about VOCALOID. As most of you know, I knew about VOCALOID from Futami Ami and Mami from THE iDOLM@STER, whose Voice Actress is Asami Shimoda, who end up providing the voice of Kagamine Rin and Len. Okay then, I’d like to introduce a few of their songs in this article.
Kokoro. I think most VOCALOID fan would know this song. トラボルタP (toraborutaP) created this song back in March. For many people, this is the best Kagamine Rin song out there. A Len version, called Kokoro Kiseki was also created.
Pretty Panty☆Akuma Rin is a new song created for Christmas and Kagamine Rin and Len’s birthday by ぶっちぎりP (bucchigiriP) and ゆにめもP (yunimemoP). It’s about an evil Kagamine Rin and Len. ぶっちぎりP (bucchigiriP)’s illustration of Rin is full of love, though I can’t say the same for the Len. Still, I pretty much love the song overall.
Meltdown is the result of a collaboration between iroha (sasaki), URAHANABI, nagimiso (the creator of mikuyon), and kuma. One of the best Kagamine Rin songs out there. Awesome PV, too! I’d recommend this song to everyone.
Adolesence is like a Kagamine Rin and Len’s version of Cendrillion (the popular KAITO and Hatsune Miku song). It’s the result of a collaboration between シグナルP (shigunaruP), sacrow, orange and 田村ヒロ (tamura hiro). Pretty much awesome, and it’s the best RinxLen song out there.
That was just a few of the many Kagamine Rin and Len songs appearing in Nico Nico Douga in celebration of their birthday. And not just producers, SEGA also celebrates Kagamine Rin and Len’s birthday by updating their Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- website with a Kagamine Rin and Len background (personally, I love the Kagamine Rin and Len 3D game model by SEGA), updated their Kagamine Rin and Len information and added Kagamine Rin and Len’s songs (created by トラボルタP (toraborutaP), the creator of kokoro, so kokoro’s going to be in the game) in their song list.
Their song list have been updated with songs by トラボルタP (toraborutaP), as you can see below.
New costumes for Hatsune Miku have also been added, and personally, I love the right-most one.
And new information on Kagamine Rin and Len have been added.
The demo of the game have once again been leaked to the internet, and I managed to get a copy of the demo. I haven’t played it yet since my PSP is being repaired (I think I’ll get it back after the new year), but the demo contained 4 songs including a promotional video. Due to copyright reasons I will not distribute them or tell you how I got one. SEGA will release the game soon (early 2009), so it’s just a few more months till the game is released. I’m going to import it the first day it’s released.
And the CV03 block on Crypton’s VOCALOID page is now occupied by a mysterious silhouette. Look at the image below.
Yes, CV03 is going to be a girl, and her color would be in pink. No new information have been added, though. I’m pretty sure the February issue of the DTM magazine, out in the first week of January would have many new information about CV03 on their VOCALOID-MANIACS segment. I’ll be sure to get a copy and would write an article here about it. CV03 would start selling in January 2009, according to Crypton. Thanks for everyone at the forum for the heads up! So that’s it for today’s post. Thank you everyone for coming here, and I’ll be sure to be more active from now on.
