Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #183+184 – Combinations

Vocaloid NND Weekly Ranking
Weekly Vocaloid Ranking “Unselected”

Sorry about 183 being 1 week late, but I was notified of the WVR video actually being up late into the week and decided to hold it off until the next one came out. I go so slow with these WVR articles now, its not even funny, but I’ll try to get next weeks out as fast as I can! Onward to two weeks of rankings!

Final Thoughts/Analysis:

Welp, a bunch of info to absorb, and its all my fault. I’m sorry. If only there was some kind of magic machine to code to automagically parse the WVR…

…And so with that, we end this week’s Vocaloid Ranking review. Please join us again next week, and I wonder when sippotan will be back..

    1. I was at first surprised that a simple fanart could influence the Vocaran, but then I saw the viewcount at almost 400k o.0 ! And there's not even a link to the PV, just a むかしむかしのきょうのぼく tag … Maybe it has been posted on 2chan or something.

  1. Are there no new music?
I wonder about it, but Japan have really big trouble i feel sorry for the peoble there and hope there will no one die anymore 🙁

  2. Too much new music to comment with this double ranking …

Still, happy to see that Daniwell is now producing outside of December.

Also nice to see Hiroha starting to appear more on the top30, even better with the artist not using Sanrio's ridiculous gear.

And last thanks Penguy for you ED picks they are all worth a watching/listening

    1. Sadly, even with 2 rankings, we don't get 1 full ranking of only new songs (I counted 28) unless you count my picks too. Yup, I loved the art for Iroha, no more speakers=good.

I try to get as many songs as I can that I like that aren't on the rankings, and those are what I choose. Thanks.

  3. whoever made number 16 really messed up,the artwork on it looks really bad and out of place for a vocaloid character, and number 10 wtf,a giant robot grabs a flower that turns into a light saber???makes sense to me.and on number 4 they did good on the gumi pic,but had to mess the whole video up by cutting corners.those background pics look like a 3rd grader drew them. and speaking of cutting corners the 3rd video is just a lame picture that looks like they got it from a fishing magazine. the first song i cant believe made it anywhere one a top anything chart, her notes keep falling flat and its a real chore on the ears to listen too. its a shame that the top 30 picks where dominated by gumi and miku,i guess all the other vocaloid characters are slacking off.

    1. The #1 song is there because of the story, and it's a sequel to #16 so that's back up too. #4 and #3 are there because of the songs themselves, not the pictures. Please don't talk exclusively of the negative aspects of the ranking.

(I am aware of the hypocrisy…)

  4. There's something more to #184's #3 song. If you watch it on Nico and pause at 0:23 or 2:52, something…interesting will happen.

    1. Nice Easter eggs, but translating them would be too much work with my abysmal Japanese skill (I don't even see the point of 女兼). Do you have an explanation ?

  5. いたいあたしあしたあいたい (Itai Atashi Ashita Aitai) was my favorite song of the bunch for #184. Not only because of the creativity on the video but the song has a rather catchy tune and creepy lyrics which helped the dark atmosphere of the whole video.

I think I'm the only one getting tired of wakamura's videos… the robotic movements and constant use of the same poses is kind of getting to me. But it might be the Lat Miku. I do really like his video editing though, so I'll give him credit on originality for that.

On the other hand, nerudora's usage for the models' movements on glow…wow! I'm impressed!
