Holy crap, is the end nigh?? The UTARan ISN’T late?? No guys, I just happened to have the time today. I worked on this in-between a lot of household chores, dinner, and a commission. And a huge thanks to kurisuto for being so quick with the translation. Thus, let’s get right to it!

NAMI‘s OPENING STATEMENT:
Sorry for the wait! It’s time for the Weekly UTAU Ranking!

It’s already June. There are already reports all over Japan about the coming of the rainy season. We’re entering this annoying damp and humid period… You can easily face health problems in this season, so be careful, everyone!

In other news, one of the rules will be modified from now on. So far, crossfade demo videos could be part of the main ranking, but from now on they’ll be featured in the Extra Ranking section. Thank you for your understanding.

Well then, let’s see the ranking!

NOTES:
History:
-Editors: chibikarla, Aster Selene, Bunnychan, Pokénatic
-Translators: kurisuto, rebecca
-Song Stats: Up (↑), Down (↓), Unmoved (→), Unranked (–), New (!!)

☆TOP THREE

NAMI‘s ENDING NOTES:
The number 1 was a “Seimei Itte Miro” parody, “Poke-nama Itte Miro,” featuring Kasane Teto. Congratulations! Translator’s Note: The kanji 生 is one that has some of the the largest number of readings. I haven’t found a way to confirm it (it seems there’s some pun/reference I don’t get), so I went with the one that seemed to be the most appropriate.

It took some time for it to get to the UTAU world, but the boom has finally arrived! w We’ll probably see some derivative videos in the future.

To conclude this ranking, let’s see number 21 to 100, as well as the extra ranking number 6 to 25. See you next week!

READERS’ PICKS:
Each week we’ll feature one reader’s video pick. If you’d like to see your pick here, please comment and list the video and why you like it; it can be any video, so long as there is UTAU involved!

For the weeks that we do not have a Reader’s Pick I will post a video from the UTARan SP 2011 list. This week is number 106, Nene Nene’s “花になる”. This is a collaboration piece between 桃華なゆた (words), TOKOTOKO (music), mia子 (UTAU arrangement), and natsu (illustration). This is just a very beautiful song.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
CONGRATS TO LELANGIR!!

What I’m excellent week (aka, the UTARan actually got published in descent time)! I’m digging the amount of Yufu and there’s even some Ruko and Tei for me to drool over. I’m hoping we’ll see more Ruko next week (since today is 6/5, Ruko’s Day). I LOVE YOU RUKO!! Besides this article’s lovely illustration you can check out more celebration images on pixiv by searching this tag.

Let’s hope we can keep the great songs and on time schedule on a roll into next week.

  1. The male voicebank in #8 is Otodamaya Nitarou, Ichihime's the one in the chorus. Glad it got a bump, I loved it since I first listened to it.

Oh lol, the roll-call meme now extends to UTAU voicebank names. Looking forward to the "I wasn't mentioned" songs XD

Recs… I'd recommend Stell's Gin no Miyako with Yufu (http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11583072). I'm really digging the strings and I love the parts where Yufu goes all soft and whisper-y.
