Mikatan has just revealed on her blog that part four of the Cheerful JAPAN! project will be Cheerful versions of the Kagamine Rin and Len Nendoroids. Continue reading for all the information.

UPDATE: Pre-order links have been added. Please check near the bottom for the links.

These two Nendoroids complete the fourth part of Good Smile Company’s Cheerful JAPAN! line (charity products where a set amount will be donated for Japan’s earthquake relief that are announced the 11th of each month for one year). The first product was the Nendoroid Miku Support ver. announced back in March. Along the same lines as the Nendoroid these two will include everything the originals came with, as well as some extras.

For each figurine sold GSC will donate 1,000 yen of the price for aid relief efforts.

GSC’s online store will start taking ALL orders (Japanese and International) on their GSC Online Shop starting on August 8th until August 29th, 2011 (with a scheduled January 2012 release). Japanese orders will also have free shipping. This figurine will be made-to-order; in other words, they will only produce as many as they have orders for, so pre-ordering is your best shot on getting them.

Please note that these Nendoroids will be sold separately, NOT as a set.

One big difference between these and the original run is that the new run will have faces that are compatible with newer Nendoroids!

First let’s take a look at Rin-chan and all the new stuff she comes with!

  1. I want them *u*
Len’s Cheerfully Nendoroid is so cute! *—*

(sorry if I wrote anything wrong, i’m learning yet O:)

  2. So, a bit of math here.  1,000 yen = $13.06 US on the current market, which is also the amount donated per figurine towards charity.  Each one is 3,000 yen, or $39.18.  So the both of them is $78.36.  Shipping is 2,000 yen, and if you order both, they’re on the same ticket, so it won’t cost an additional 2,000.  Shipping is $26.12 US.  So, in the event that you order both of them, be prepared to pay $104.48 US, or 10,000 Yen in total.  Of that, only 2,000 yen is being donated to charity….  I dunno, that seems kinda stingy of GoodSmile, especially considering how many orders they’re going to get.

    1. I’m not really sure if they’re really thinking of American purchases for these figures, especially since payment is only in Yen.

    2. I would say that 1,000 yen is pretty generous especially since they usually charge 3,000+ yen for a normal nendoroid. There’s being generous and there’s being too generous to the point where you’re losing money.

    3. They still need to make some kind of profit, and still end up with enough money to actually manufacture them. These are made to order so they won’t end up losing money, but in the end, they still donate the money. Combine that 2000yen with hundreds of thousands of orders, and you get alot of money donated to charity. It’s better than nothing.

  3. Dammit. Of course they always have to release when I just spent all my money on a figure for a different series OTZ
