On the cosplay departement…

I’ve been looking into the Nico Nico Douga mylist ranking a lot these few days… And one thing catched my eye. A miku cosplay. A singing miku cosplay. I rarely see miku cosplays, and this one is really amazing, especially her singing. And then I found out that she’s from YouTube, so if this is a late news, I apologize, since I haven’t opened YouTube since about half a year ago. And well, I’m quite surprised to see that she’s American (after I did some investigation).  She’s a 10 year old girl whose name was Maxine. Her videos was on top of the mylist ranking, and received about 2,500 points and 150,000 views in just 3 days. If this video is qualified for the Weekly VOCALOID Ranking, it’ll be the winner EASILY. Let’s see… I still don’t understand the comment point system for the weekly ranking, but if we just count the mylist and views alone, her video would get about 200,000 points, and that’s her score BEFORE we added the comment (her video had about 20,000 comments, by the way). Anyway, she is an absolute win, and you could check out her video in Nico Nico Douga.

I know, sorry guys, I’m a bit late in blogging about this. As you can see from the comments, the Japanese people have a positive reaction to this. And look, someone even says that “Maxine is my daughter!” or extreme comments like “HOLY SHIT YOU ARE MY GOD MARRY ME” and of course, she created an internet meme (Maxine! Maxine!). It’s so fun looking at these english comments at Nico Nico Douga, but the important thing is that all of these comments means she’s really popular and is loved by many people (it is the best miku cosplay (with singing) I’ve ever seen… so no wonder she’s so popular… and plus she’s quite cute >w<). I did some research at YouTube and found her videos at this profile. And it looks like she’s WAY more popular in Nico Nico Douga…
