Hatsune Miku Project DIVA finally gets a release date!

The final logo for Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-!

Just this morning, an hour ago, I got an e-mail from Amazon Japan saying that Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- is up for pre-order. I pre-ordered it instantly. Release date is 2nd of July, and the price is 6090 yen, although Amazon is currently selling it for 20% less. For those of you who doesn’t know, PSP is not region locked, so don’t worry about it. Amazon Japan doesn’t ship PSP games internationally, but I’m pretty sure other shops would sell it soon. Of course, there’s also new screenshots of the game! Here’s the product on Amazon Japan and read on for more details!

A fan-made original stage was shown in a video uploaded by SEGA in the SEGA channel of Nico Nico Douga yesterday. Fariz Asuka from Kyouran Kyodai mirrored it to YouTube and reported about it yesterday night on his blog. Here’s the video of miku singing Koi Suru VOC@LOID (恋スルVOC@LOID), a song by OSTER project in a fan-made original stage.

And of course, as the product went open for pre-order an hour ago on Amazon Japan, Amazon included more screenshots! See them below!

See them all in Amazon’s Product Detail page. Look at them, Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru and Dreaming Leaf is in the game! But that’s not all… Today, many more details are released about Hatsune  Miku -Project DIVA-, including many more costumes (like for example see the pirate costume in the picture above?), and an appearance by someone! Wait and see my next blog post in a few minutes! Until then, see ya!

  1. Wow.. Finally, a Release Date for Project DIVA.. Its a pity I would be in National Service when it is out.. Thanks for this great info.. I will post about this too.. ^^

  2. where else is open to preorder this… I live in the US, so I don’t think I could use the Amazon Japan…

Where else to get it? It’s the /official/ store.

It’s sad that I read about this on another site before vocaloidism itself. I need to put myself more into vocaloid now.. orz

  4. @Ace – I apologize, i was too excited.
But will they ship overseas? If not, i’ll just get it on some other site.

You can ask/get a proxy buyer, someone that buy it from amazon.jp and send it to you. Maybe a friend? If not, I think there are services like that also, extending to taking part in Yahoo! Auctions for you. (With “extra fees” of course).

I hope this would be the base of Miku invasion through the world. But as time grows, the earlier fans (that knows her earlier than other) will be sunk into the growing number of other fans. Now even I feel insignificant that some new fans are more knowledgeable than the earlier. *sob*

  7. I saw this, and now I'm shaking. **NEEEEERRRD** My first reaction? chanting repeatedly, "I WANT, I WANT, I WANT, I WAAAAANNNT." I just hope they don't decide to do a COMPLETE "english version" where all the songs are in english, too…. D= I want my miku in her original form!!

  8. can somebody translate it to english its an awesome game for those who understand the letters^_^ hope their will be an english version

  9. what IS project DIVA btw?? i know it's a game but i dont really get it. -I AM TOO SLOW TO BE TRUE. >-> –

  10. I know this is a long time ago, but if I were to buy a PSP in the United States. Say PSP 3000, I could just buy Project DIVA from overseas and it would still work? Would it be the same for Project DIVA 2nd also?
    ^-^;; Sorry, and thanks!

  11. couple of questions : what exactly is this game ,what gaming system does it go on, & 3) what do you do?
