More Updates on Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-

This post will contain every information that is currently known about Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-, including the songs and costumes. SEGA have finally released the full-length promotion movie for Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- and announced a lot of new costumes and songs for the PSP game which is releasing in 2nd July. The promotion movie is narrated by Fujita Saki, the voice actress of Hatsune Miku. She did announce that she finished narrating the PV for Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- just over a week ago in her blog. So anyways, enjoy the full promotion movie below! =)

Also, the Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- have been updated twice in the past few days, and I’ll tell you all about the updates in this post, as well as the announced Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- Soundtrack Album. Read on after the break for more details! =D

Let’s start with the costumes first! As you’ve probably knew, Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- will have 39 costumes to choose from, including KAITO, MEIKO, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, Yowane Haku and Akita Neru costumes. Recently, 13 more costumes have been announced, making the total amount of 33 known costumes. Who knows, maybe more are hidden in the promotion movie. If you spot any, do comment below! 5 of the 13 announced costumes are the KAITO, MEIKO, Pajamas, Cheerleader, and Bride costume we talked about a week ago. Here are the next set of 3 costumes!

From left to right, it’s the Galaxy costume (draft by 119), the Princess costume (draft by wadaka) and the VN02 costume (draft by nagimiso). And PIAPRO also announced three more costumes, which means that all of the 22 costumes were chosen by SEGA from the PIAPRO x SEGA Collaboration event have been made into a 3D-model. Here are the next set of costumes!

Yes, that’s a Panda backpack in the China costume (draft by shinryo). My favorite one out of the six is the Plug In costume (draft by stoneking) and the Heart Hunter costume (draft by chrysopa) is just too cute! LOVE Miku’s hairstyle in the Plug In and Heart Hunter costumes. SEGA also updated their site with two of their original costume design called “P Style (Black)” and “P Style (White)”. Here are those two costumes!

So there you go! 33 costumes are known, 22 from the SEGA x PIAPRO collaboration event. Next, let’s talk about the music included. As we all know, there are also 39 songs included in this game. And also, there is a music edit function which lets you put in your own MP3 file (confirmed by the Promotion Movie) and play it in the game. These are the currently confirmed songs for Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-.

Those are the current 26 confirmed songs from the game. The one in bold are the songs which are specially created for this game. SEGA’s Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- official website have a “and more…” text on OSTER project’s, kz’s and Kousaki Satoru and Hata Aki’s page, which hints to more songs by them. “That One Second, in Slow Motion” is one of my favorite songs in the supercell album, which is why I’m so happy that it made its way to Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-.

A soundtrack album to this game entitled “Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-” was announced, and is set to be released on the 22nd of July. Not much details have been announced, but you can already pre-order it on Amazon Japan or CD Japan. The artists listed on CD Japan’s Japanese site are Project DIVA feat. Hatsune Miku, Hatsune Miku, Kousaki Satoru, Hata Aki, Koichi Namiki, and Toraboruta. Not much information is written, only “Vocal collection album release from hit game Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-.” is written. We’ll update you as more information is released, but for now, see this preliminary album art.

So that’s it for Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-. It’s set to release in 2nd July and its pre-order bonus is a Nendoroid Puchi Project DIVA version, as well as these. If you need any help in getting one, feel free to ask me about it. Sounds like this will be an awesome game. I think Miku could replace Sonic as SEGA’s mascot! Oh well, let’s wait for it to come out before jumping into conclusions. We’ll keep you updated with the latest news on this game.

  1. OMG
    the galaxy costume
    and the VN02 costume
    so purdy ;A; <3333
They're my faves so far! and man that video, when you throw in everything together like that it really drives into you just how much there is @__@

… I just realised that the KAITO costume means Miku's dressing up like a man. This is a whole new perspective on things.

    1. KAITO is listed under the costumes section, but it might be possible that when you pick that costume it'll change your character to KAITO (as the Promotional Video hints) xD

  2. Just realized that Disappearance of Hatsune Miku is on the list. That is one of my top 10 songs <3<3<3.

Although if there are songs they don't include I'll likely rip them to my computer and convert to mp3 so i can play them too~.

  3. Hello, can someone help me? =)

I want to pre-order the game, so I need to find somewhere where I can order it and get it shipped to Sweden =)
Does anyone know where I can order it (and get it shipped to sweden)?

I would be very glad if someone could help! ^^

  4. …thanks, but it says
"This item is not available for shipping to European Union " =(

Sweden is a part of EU, thanks anyway! ^^

  5. I'm curious though. Songs from Vocaloid are made by fans right? Like "World is Mine" it's going to be played in the game. I'm wondering about copyright. Were the creators of the game able to find the composers of the song and ask if they could use the songs for the game?

This brings me to another question, how are songs placed into the game?

  6. pleeeeaaaase bring it to germany, too! i'd love to have it! and many other german people, too! i know it!
