Weekend Spotlight: Sing Off
Welcome to what I hope will be another regular feature here on Vocaloidism, especially since this category seems so very unused. D: Every Saturday (blog local time), we’ll highlight some fun Vocaloid goodness and whatever I or whoever ends up writing this feels is noteworthy.
What are you waiting for? Come on in and have a seat.
So if you didn’t notice from my comments here I kinda like The Sing-Off. It’s been hovering around 7 million viewers a night, so it may get another season, but I pray to the Flying Spaghetti Monster they don’t make the S2 episodes 2 hours long. Anyway, for those who don’t know, The Sing-Off is an elimination-style competition between a cappella groups. Sorta like this.
This is Ore-dan…sort of. See, they change their name depending on who takes the lead vocals. Enatanu leads for this song, so they’re Ena-dan. You can track all of the songs on their MyList and they also have a Twitter. While the group that does put the “I” in “team” (horrible pun, I know) isn’t going to set any NND records, but this might. Word of warning, though: It’s Electric! (boogie woogie woogie)
Only 4 days old (as of writing), but it already has 164,000 WVR points, and likely on its way to a quarter-mil. Granted, I wouldn’t exactly world-beating, but the equalizer in the upper left is a nice touch.
That’s all for this week. Next week, who knows?
A Cappella is one of my favorite genres of music, so it was only natural that I would be glued to the TV when the Sing-Off was on. It really should get another season (minus the really long episodes, of course). I like that version of BRS that was posted. I'll be bookmarking their MyList for sure.
I should comment on this blog more often. I follow it everyday but I barely say anything.
