WOO-HOO!!! Starting the new year with this year’s first ever WVR! I really shouldn’t be as excited as I am right now (given a TREMENDOUS pressure of a Thesis defense in a few hours’ time), but I just can’t help it… MELTDOWN [HD] has just hit 1 million views… AGAIN!!! Just goes to show how truly awesome songs are timeless, even when they’ve been cast out of the rankings. MELTDOWN really deserves a hall-of-fame status now, and iroha(sasaki) a lifetime achievement award.

…Wait, what are we talking about again…? Ah, ranking review… right… yeah… I’m excited about that, too… I guess…

NOTES:

History:
-Editors: Crimson = DK, DarkGreen = DT, DarkBlue = JM, Violet = dez, Orange = red2
-Song Stats: Rank Up, Rank Down, Unmoved, Previously Unranked, NEW

NAHO’s OPENING STATEMENT:
(Since it’s the new year,) from today on there’s work! Tests! Important exams! It’s time to leave the excitement of New Year’s behind and move forward into 2010!

Well… we’ve finished with the Weekly Vocaloid Rankings for 2009. It being a new year, this will most likely markedly influence the future rankings…

IN OTHER VOCALOID NEWS:
There are a lot of things to reflect back on from 2009. I wonder what will happen in the Vocaloid world in 2010…

Because that includes the VocaRan as well, look forward to next week’s!

FINAL THOUGHTS/ANALYSIS:

Sorry for stealing your spot red2, but just for a second. I find it ridiculous that they wouldn’t let Your figure looks like me onto the ranking. It clearly would have made it, and would’ve placed around 16-18, given where it was before the ranking was posted (even before it was supposed to be posted, rather than before it was actually posted). The song is fantastic, and technically it should have been allowed, given Miku was singing the accompaniment. It’s unfair to the UTAU fans to just ignore it. This goes back to red2’s article about Vocaloid versus UTAU: if more songs like YFLLM come out and become popular, the VocaRan will have to take notice. Maybe this can be included in those changes that keep being mentioned?
