Yesh… it’s another “No Clever Subtitle”-edition. Can’t help myself though, since I’m either pumped or anxious about the training exam I’m getting from my company, I had little time to view new Vocaloid songs this week.

Gotta say though, there are a lot of new KAITO and GUMI songs lately.

Naho’s Opening Statement:

(Rebecca: sorry! Im late! I added the last week’s statement on previous article too^^)
It’s time for this week’s Vocaran. In the middle of Golden week! Very fine weather! Does everyone enjoy the holiday? Because Miku append has been released, and also because of VOC@LOiD M@STER* (*rebecca: Vocaloid festival held about three or four times in a year in Tokyo), many new singles rank in this week too. What’s gonna happen to a higher rank…?

Ok, let’s get started! We start from 30th, enjoy!

In Other Vocaloid News:

Although it’s the middle of GW, appearently many can’t wait for “after” GW. On both 8th and 9th May 2010, at Shinjuku: Theater Sun Mall, there is going to be “Kokoro (based on Rin and Len’s song, Kokoro)” Tokyo performance. People have been waiting for the performance after the successful stage of “Kokoro” in Mito.

And what’s more, Vocaloid only coterie (dojin) spot sale “THE VOC@LOiD M@STER 12” is going to be held on 9th May in at Tokyo: Oota-ku Sangyo plaza PiO. Many would go both 2 events.

It’s expected that both places gets crowded, I ask people going there to keep good manners, follow instruction, and behave politely.

40mP’s new album LIFE SIZE NOTE will be relased on 7th May.

Thank you for watching till the end. See you next week.

Final Thoughts/Analysis:

Yosha! We had a massive week this time around. We had 6-digit point scores posting at #12! A lot of people were paying attention, that’s for sure. But we’re slowly losing regulars. JBF had lost 1000 more points. We also one major execution, that Penguin Project, shot in the head down to 100th.

Now for some true popularity. Yowamushi Montblanc is still retaining high numbers, and what I hope will be a very long stay on the countdown. We all know GUMI deserves it. Now let’s look at the one that overtook her that week… now it’s down to 60th. The difference between a one-hit-wonder and a true favorite right there. There’s no Rising Starlet this week. I just can’t find one that fits the potential. I hope ARiA stays longer than SPiCa did, but with 750k under its belt, it just has further to fall.

*Sneaks up to a sleeping Holo with a cup of ice water* Shhhh. *SPLOSH* BACK TO YOU HOLO! *Runs away*

…And so with that, we end this week’s Vocaloid Ranking review. Please join us again next week, and ZzzzzzzzzzZZZzZzzzZZzzzz~

  1. Definitely happy that Coward Montblanc is still on the charts. Hopefully it'll stay as long as magnet or JBF!

Quite on the contrary, I think that The Things That Fall In God's Name (#6 here) is actually my "most memorable" out of the Top 3 last week, even though I'm usually more of a Kagamine fan. You don't really find these type of genres often. The same thing goes for this week's #3. Or maybe it's because I like these genres more than your usual pop.
