No, seriously, this is an actual plea for help. We have been severely lacking in Vocaloid news lately, since more of our editors have gone missing – DTKel has been MIA for a while now *Smacks DK* I haven’t been MIA, mind you. I am always available on the IRC/MSN/YIM/forums if anyone needs to contact me. Also, I have just asked rebecca to help me translate the news article regarding the new upcoming Vocaloid “Lily”. More information on this will come up very soon. and JM is… oh, I don’t even wanna know the messy side of that one. Anyway, we really need people who are willing to contribute news and information with regards to anything Vocaloid-related, and you don’t even need to apply for an editor position. DTKel has also posted some useful tutorials on the forums on how to make articles using our WordPress system:

Every little bit of help would be greatly appreciated, so please contribute whatever you can to our Vocaloid knowledge pool. I’ve been seriously thinking about recruiting Crofesima from the “Queen of Spades” blog for her awesome WVR Top-10 song comments and summaries.

Is this a good time to mention I’m back? Well I’m back! Who missed me? *crickets chirp* Hmmm. Well anyway, since I’m back, look forward to the UtaRan posts returning as well!

Naho’s Opening Statement:

It’s time for this week’s VocaRan. To the wonderful people who brought us this recent Vocaloid Master, thanks so much for the hard work! There was a lot of variety in the genres collected there.

This event, at a critical time of the season, was the reason behind the rush of new songs here, but has it hit its expected climax? Watch the rankings carefully!

Notes:

-Editors: Holocauxt, DTKel, Joe Mello, deztora, rebecca, redemtion2, GreenSage
-Song Stats: Up (↑), Down (↓), Unmoved (→), Unranked (–), New (!!)

In Other Vocaloid News:

Golden Week and Vom@s are over, and it seems everyone has run out of steam, or, it seems there are a lot of people who are tired out. This feeling is commonly called “May blues.” But if we set our sights on a new goal, then we can get out of this funk.

But more importantly, this talk of “Lily-san”… just which direction will it go, I wonder…

Also, UtaRan articles will be starting up again, beginning with next week! Look forward to it!

Final Thoughts/Analysis:

<insert editor comments here, otherwise kindly delete/remove>

…And so with that, we end this week’s Vocaloid Ranking review. Please join us again next week, and we really need your help! >_<;;

  1. As for help I may be able to provide some.
    Well I say ‘I’ but actualy we – are a group of friends, we’ve just set up a blog as an outlet for our love of all Japanese.
    It may be best to e-mail me (I’ve signed upto the blog as ‘ragelogic’) [email protected]
    I’ll gather the group up and I’ll see if we can help anywhere! I hope we can, we love Vocaloid (the ARiA video is amazing!)

  2. paradichlorobenzene, nazokake, and nazotoki all on one ranking. i think i'm going to heaven

    ALSO this lily girl looks like an older rin. it'll take me a while to appreciate her i think. but i know i can convince myself

    1. Oh yeah, because it's the same P. I never even made that connection… and I'd listened to number 6, too… haha, wow, I'm slow. >_>;

    1. Don't worry, Lily isn't being created by Crypton. Apparently, she's coming from AH Software, at least most likely. But it'd be nice if we got more news about Crypton's new male vocaloid…there's been no news about that since October… >.>

  3. Quite a few songs that fell out of rankings returned this week. It is indeed the "May Blues". I actually like most of the songs for this week too.

    #28: Nazotoki! Nazotoki! Nazotoki! The influence a PV can do! WOOT.
    #26: I thought Tsugai Kogarashi is making a comeback for a moment there. But it's good to see Meiko in the rankings for once, even though she's in a duet with Kaito.

    Oh, they mentioned something about Lily. Awesome.
