Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #146 “Unselected”

Things have been more than a little crazy lately. It seems like it’s just one thing after another for everyone… maybe that’s why there’s a lack of new material floating around in the Vocaloidverse lately. At least the songs we do get are good… of course, that’s to be expected from producers like Hachi and… KuwagataP… and… wow, there’s really hardly anything new this week. Well, enough rambling. Ranking time! Give it all you’ve got!

Naho’s Opening Statement:

Greetings! It’s time for this week’s VocaRan. Everyone is rushing into summer break…! To the students glancing in, it’s just another day for Naho-san.

Even though I’m saying this now, you should get your homework done by the end of July! You can be upset later, but stop watching the VocaRan and return to your desks! (lol wut)

…But because I wouldn’t say something like that, take a little break here. (Oh, that’s better, heh) When you’re finished watching, however, you really should go back to your desk and finish your homework. And with that, this week’s ranking, START!

    • H3: First, second, then third… huh. I don’t remember that.

    • H1: And thus begins Hachi’s tradition of stealing the number one spot away from GUMI. Didn’t happen this week, at least… Enough of an anniversary to bring it back to the charts? I don’t get the appeal.

    Because here it is. Sorry for being unprofessional for a minute, but I’m on twitter now and HOW COOL IS IT that I knew as soon as ハチ uploaded this?! *ahem* Anyway, this is a departure from his usual style, but it’s surprisingly really good.
  • #2: 【初音ミクSoft】　ハロ／ハワユ　【オリジナル】 (!!)
    It’s nice. That’s about it, though. Great use of SOFT, doesn’t have the characteristic of a hit song, but somehow it still is one. Awesome art and very Catchy.
  • #1: 【GUMI】モザイクロール【オリジナル曲PV付】 (→)
    Still awesomesauce. I will cry manry tears if it’s number one next week, too… that’s a real long shot, though. Gumi + Deco*27= Magic and will not get old! I feel the triple-play coming.

In Other Vocaloid News:

New songs, new features, new costumes and modules… the all new, highly anticipated sequel will be released very soon. Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- 2nd will be released by せーがー♪ SEGA on July 29th.

That’s why, to fully enjoy it, you should finish up your homework before the end of July!

Having said that, here’s the rest of this week’s ranking, from 31 onward.

Final Thoughts/Analysis:

I actually didn’t think Mozaik Role Mosaic Roll would be number one again. I hoped, but I thought it would get overtaken when I saw the mylist ratio dropping. If this song can emulate the amazing success that WEDH had, I will be a happy, happy GUMI fan. Also, it’ll mean more people will recognize my Mosaic-GUMI cosplay.

There really weren’t a lot of new songs this week, though… Maybe everyone’s taking a breather for summer. Speaking of which, have a fun summer break everyone! *goes back to working her ass off*

    And I;m glad Ebot's Paradoxical Paradigm managed to enter the ranking (why so low tho? It's gorgeous).

  2. "Nothing new this week"?! I'd say Gumi's number one repeat is pretty historic! Her first number one spot and she get's it two weeks in a row!

    1. Well, I meant 新曲… and honestly, the point value is what's shocking, if anything. We've had so many repeat number one songs that I think it's nice, but not necessarily impressive. If it's number one next week as well, then THAT would be something else.

      How about this? If it's number one next week, I'll post a picture of myself on the V-ism forums.

  3. I wish cosMo's new song had ranked higher, along with Utakata no Dance and Lost and Found. ;_;

    This week's top three are all great, though. GUMI's first number one spot and she gets it two weeks in a row!

  7. I like Mozaik Role… but there are a handful of DECO*27 songs that I love over it (including Coward Montblanc).

    I love Hello/How Are You… I knew it had to hope getting rank one with Mozaik Role still popular, but I’m so glad it rank two! I thought Hachi would bump it down to rank 3.

    Hachi’s new song is… eh. I enjoyed his last few songs, so it’s fair enough that he can have a song I don’t care for this time. :>
