On November 12 of 2010 at 21:26 Japan time, Ginsaku’s “Iroha Uta” song hit one million views on NND. To see the video and more information, please continue after the break.
The song’s title translates to “Iroha Song.” The term “iroha” refers to a certain Japanese poem written back in the Heian era. The poem uses every letter of the hiragana alphabet exactly once. The term is also called “the basics” or the “ABC’s” when referring to the Japanese alphabet. The iroha is also featured in the lyrics of this song, which speak of a girl willing to completely change herself into anything that her lover desires. She uses such examples as a dog (obedient) or a rose (falling and near death or fragile).
The song was also recently included in an announcement for new songs for the “Project DIVA Arcade” game releasing in the end of November. You can check out this article for more information.
Now let us celebrate this milestone by viewing some lovely illustrations.
