Ahem. We start off another week with another vocaran! Wonfes pictures are around the internet now, and many of you are probably looking at figma #100 (Miku Append), Lat Style Miku, Koisen Miku, Yuki Miku, Append Figure, and many other vocaloid related merchandise that will be available!
Expect an article about the products soon, but now its time for the Weekly Vocaloid Ranking.

Good evening everyone, it’s time for this week’s VocaRan!

But amid all of this, here is the Weekly Vocaloid Ranking. This week too, we’ll start from number 30.

  You know, after listening to this a couple times in the vocaran, I’ve grown to like this more and more.

  Miyuki showed this to me earlier this week, and I fell in love right away.

  The PV is so cute! My favorite thing from そらいろくらぶ since Oval. Love 霜村’s artwork!

  Wow, never heard kaito+iroha duet before. Who woulda thunk it? But yeah it actually sounds really good.
• #21 (↑23): ボールキャッチ☆カワシマ！ (Ballcatch Kawashima)
  Anyone want to explain this to me? I’m not sure of what exactly its referencing until I see translation but its probably inspired by both the Baseball Player/Toaru no Railgun(Anime) Iroha Song and the AWESOME Heartcatch Gundam MMD Vid for MMD Cup 5 (where I first heard the tune). Eiji Kawashima is the goalkeeper of Japan’s National Football Team (Football fan desu.), He often catches the ball, quite well too. Japan just won the Asian Cup by the way. Edit: It already has Uttate Mita lol.

  Someone is gonna kill me for saying Nitamago’s Miku vers. of Meltdown has always been my favorite but I really love this. And I love the Rin artwork too.

  This is millstones second append song, and I love it. So many pretty colors, very upbeat!

  Luka and Lily really match in a song, however it sorta gets hard to tell the difference between them. In a way feels more like a new voice is being made using the two rather than a duet.

  Anyone tired yet? Better not be!

  I like the style and the use of Miku’s voice but even so it almost feels like her voice is too “distant” at times.

  Nice jump to number 1! Yeah the more you hear it the more the music, interesting use of Miku’s voice, and great PV come together and make it feel very special.

  I love Calvi’s (るび太郎(オカメP)) works, from Frail Fact, to You’re not alone, and to Cockatiel. A nice and melanchoic piano, its sad, yet peaceful.

That was this week’s number 1.

Next weekend, the 1st VOCALOID FESTA will be held at the Tokyo Ryuutsuu Center (Hall D), in Tokyo. This doujin convention, organized in full partnership with VOCALOID’s developer, Yamaha, will feature lots of events, such as cosplay and talk shows.

On the same day, NicoTsuku, a doujin convention on NND’s Yatte Mita videos, will be held in Hall C of the TRC. The NicoNico Technological Department, which started with the life-sized Miku project, will be exposing their works, and other Vocaloid-related works will be featured too, so be sure to check it out!

It will likely be crowded, so if you plan on attending it, please follow the rules mentioned in the brochure and behave responsibly.

Final Thoughts/Analysis:

There were not alot of new songs this week, mostly just things that moved up and down, however the new songs this week were great, and make up for the absence of alot of them.
