Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #192 – Summer Time

Vocaloid NND Weekly Ranking
Weekly Vocaloid Ranking “Unselected”

Yay, Sippotan is back! Widescreen is wide, points are back to normal, and ahhh the previews for the songs are just perfect. Weekly pickups are back, and so is kurisuto and his translations for the Opening, and Closing statements. Anyways after I came home from my graduation today, I started working on this, so onwards to a new start! (Article image also from Fanime)

Naho’s Opening Statement:

TL Note: I tried to translate her puns at the beginning! She said things like “ohayo-unagi” (Eel) instead of “ohayou”. I actually used the same animals, and haven’t changed the meaning of the original sentences. I have to admit I’m quite proud. :sunglasses:

Eello everyone! Starting this week, the Weekly Vocaloid Ranking is back in the mouse! I raccoon two months was quite a long wait, sorry about that.

There might be some problems in the coming weeks, but we’re back to the regular ranking. I hope you’re looking forward to it! This week’s ranking will be a fierce battle since Vom@s will open very soon.

Without further ado, let’s see the much anticipated ranking! We’ll start with #30.

Notes:

-Editors: Pengy, DTKel, descent87, bunnychan, redemption2
-Translator: Kurisuto
-Song Status: Up (↑), Down (↓), Unmoved (→), Unranked (–), New (!!)

In Other Vocaloid News:

That was this week’s #1!

The doujin convention THE VOC@LOiD M@STER 16 will be held this week-end in Ikebukuro Sunshine City, Tokyo. Boasting about 470 doujin circles as participants, it will match Vom@s 14 which was the biggest one so far. The circles will bring many new releases with them; this Vom@s will be very rich.

Vom@s is a very crowded event, as you could see on our SP6. To all of you who will attend it: please read the rules in the catalog, and show your manners.

Also, if you haven’t done so yet do check out the SP6! We’ve included different special projects in it, so make sure you watch it.

Well then, the rest of this ranking from # 31.

Songs excluded because of adult content: “Kurumi Ponchio” and “Loliboy”.

Thank you so much for watching the VocaRan this week too! Sorry for making you worry. Let’s work together to get back to a normal situation. Well then, see you next week!

Editor Picks of the week:

Final Thoughts/Analysis:

It’s a slow week for the types of songs that I love, but theres still alot of great new songs in the top 30. A great week to start off with sippotan again. Highschool is over for me, and I have an internship over the summer, so I don’t know if I can continue with the WVR, but if possible, I will continue it as long as possible, it just depends on my situation with the internship.

Finally Sippotan returns, and just in time for my graduation. Technically I’m walking and finishing up next term, but hey, it’s a party the school’s throwing so I don’t care. Hope Sippotan hasn’t been pushing too hard to get things out. Go easy, Sippo, we love you no matter what!

…And so with that, we end this week’s Vocaloid Ranking review. Please join us again next week, and off to the wedding.

    1. Not only that, it was probably a reference to the po-po-po-poooon CM craze.

I'm so happy sippotan is back! I love the top three having extended previews. It just feels right. 🙂

    2. Damn! I did read "unagi" and I know rabbit is usagi, but I instantly thought of a rabbit instead. So much for my sunglasses :'(

      Thanks for that!

  1. I'm glad that sippotan came back at this time. The history is the 1st vocaloid ranking I watched.

Also the comments seem quite low. Has it been like that since the earthquake?

  2. You're right, it's written ウナギ, not ウサギ, and a very good example of the usefulness of kanjis, no one would have mixed 兎 with 鰻, but admittedly it's more difficult to do puns with kanjis. So give some respite to Kuristo his brain has been in overheat mode to translate all the announcements we had Wednesday, and admit that "Hi everybunny" was quite clever 🙂

But let's start a suggestions to help him: why not "Eello everybody"
