Happy 2nd Birthday to Yuki, miki, and Kiyoteru!
Today marks a special day for our Three Musketeers as we celebrate the second anniversary of AH-Software’s debut Vocaloids. Be sure to bring three cakes with you and read on after the break.
Kaai Yuki was released alongside SF-A2 Miki and Hiyama Kiyoteru on December 4th, 2009. Although it is not known who the artist is for Yuki’s box cover, nor the name of the elementary school child who provided the voice for her, it is known that Yuki remains one of the most unique (and adorable) Vocaloids so far, due to being the only child Vocaloid aside from the boyish Ryuuto.
Hiyama Kiyoteru and Yuki both were advertised as teacher and student and are often paired together in songs and other parts of the fandom. His voice provider was unknown until Hiyama Kiyoshi revealed himself as the provider in August of 2010. Recently, AH-Software has revitalized Kiyoteru by having him join the band “Ice Mountain,” (Vocaloidism article) a rock band whose details are revealed in their own book which has been sold out. Because of Ice Mountain, Kiyoteru has recently been put back in the spotlight.
SF-A2 Development Code miki was released as part of the “Artist Vocal” series and thus so far is the only one in the series. Her voice provider is singer Furukawa Miki, who works for Ki/oon Records which is also where voice provider of Utane Piko, Piko, works. miki’s box cover is illustrated by artist Yusuke Kozaki, whose works include character designs for both games in the No More Heroes series. He has also contributed to the popular Japanese arcade collectable card game Lord of Vermilion.
Just like Iroha previously, Yuki, miki, and Kiyoteru are going to be ported to the VOCALOID3 Engine, but with no altercations in their voicebanks. They are also going to be distributed in Taiwan by company Ecapsule.
Let’s see how producers are celebrating their birthdays with videos.

To see all the songs producers are making to celebrate, be sure to refer to the AHS生誕祭2011 tag on Nico Nico Douga.
But as we all know, pictures are worth a thousand words, so let’s see what the artists are up to.
