Limited Edition KarenT CD Sold Out at Anime Expo

As was announced on the Hatsune Miku Facebook page, Kinokuniya at this year’s Anime Expo had a limited set of CDs from music label KarenT available for $25 each. The 11-track CD featured well-known artists such as mothy, Dios and minato. Over half of the 250 copies were sold on the first day. By the third day, there were only 20 copies left and they were gone by the end of the convention. In addition to this particular CD, Kinokuniya also had a large stock of other VOCALOID goods, filling entire shelves. For those in Europe, these CDs are also being sold in France at Japan Expo as well.

The CD, titled “Fairy tale & Girl’s talk” is divided into two parts. The first half (Side A) features dark-themed artwork and 6 songs, corresponding to the “Fairy tale” section, whereas the second half (Side B) features a cute pastel image and 5 songs, corresponding to the “Girl’s talk” section. Nine of the eleven songs were previously published on KarenT, but Master of Puppets and Kitten Tale were new additions. Attendees were limited to two copies per purchase in order to assure enough quantities for everyone.
