SEGA Announces Localized Project DIVA F for Release in North America and Europe

2013-06-07 00_44_07-週刊ディーヴァ・ステーション - Opera According to the latest post on SEGA’s Weekly DIVA Station blog, SEGA will be releasing Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F in North America on PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Network as well as in Europe on the PlayStation Network. The localized version will be identical to the Japanese version except for the localized text. The English part of the blog post announces the release and quotes Associate Brand Manager Aaron Webber as saying “Your voices helped make this happen. Miku and SEGA fans, this is your moment. We’re thrilled to bring this title out for you, and we’re counting on your support. Tell Your World!” The slated release date is for August 2013 for both PlayStation 3 and for download on the PlayStation Network, with a demo available on June 11 for the US and June 12 for Europe.

After the English portion of the post, public relations person Maihama Tarou hurriedly continued the post in Japanese, hoping that they didn’t scare off their Japanese readers. He also posted a Japanese translation of the English post. At the end he clarified that the new release will simply be a version of the original with the text localized and thus will not contain any new content. Insider #1 (@nakanohito_1go) also tweeted that this was the culmination of over three years of hard work that started back in the PSP era.

UPDATE: @nakanohito_1go in a later tweet said that the overseas branch kept telling them that it wouldn’t sell, and so he really wants to show them.
