With the release of Project DIVA f (previously known as NEXT HATSUNE MIKU Project DIVA) on the horizon, SEGA has slowly been releasing more and more information on the game. PJDf is the third game in the Project DIVA series, succeeding Project DIVA and Project DIVA 2nd (along with PJD Extend). A demo version of PJDf was available to play at the recent E3 expo, at the Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) booth. Read on to find out what we know so far!
Project DIVA f is set to be offically released on the 30th of August this year. A physical copy of the game will cost 7,329 JPY, while the downloadable version will cost 6,600 JPY. People who preordered the game early had the option of a limited edition Miku themed PSP Vita, although they are now all sold out. Preordering will still earn you a Miku themed skin with a matching home screen background.
Song previews can be seen on this webpage, and you can take a look at some of the new modules here. More detailed information on the game can be seen here. Fan speculation says that ‘f’ stands for ‘forte’, as it is typeset as seen in music notation.
So far, the only footage we have of gameplay was at the E3 demo, as seen in the video below:
More photos of PJDf at E3 can be seen at SEGA’s blog.
Online stores such as AmiAmi currently have the game available for pre-order, and will include the bonuses if you pre-order the game.
We’re sure looking forward to the next installment in the Project DIVA series, how about you?
